In the slideshow above, a few examples of exterior radon mitigation systems are given that were built by RHMM, Inc. in the past. Exterior mitigation systems are often more visible from the street which is why we also look at the possibility to install an interior system, but it is not always possible. Following guidelines and Codes radon systems have to discharge the radon above the roof. Some systems have downspout above the fan that is routed around the upper roof edge, some have PVC pipe above the fan that can be routed through the soffit, and roofing material, with a standard roof jack tied in with the roofing material as in the case of an interior radon mitigation system. Only the outside part of the systems are shown here. To install optimal systems these installations require often significant additional work inside the house. Photos of the exterior part of these systems in the slide show were taken after RHMM completed its mitigation. A licensed electrician and painter were hired separately by home owner either via their own existing network, or following a recommendation from RHMM.
